IP PARALEGAL/ pharmaceutical 28k
A leading London law firm in the heart of the City is looking for an experienced Intellectual property paralegal to assist one of its leading pharmaceutical Clients. The paralegal's main function will be the maintenance of a novel, stand-alone knowledge management database to be provided to the client. This database will cover legal issues relevant to its business arranged by country. The work will primarily involve ensuring that information and documents are suitable to be incorporated into the database and are added and updated in a prompt and orderly manner. This is a large scale ongoing project which requires great attention to detail as high volumes of information will be provided. The new project is multi-facetted in that the information will not only come from one source and it is important that the Paralegal is able to monitor all channels of information for possible updates. Guidance will be provided in this regard. Within this role, the duties will be varied and wide ranging and will include:

Inputting new information received into the database.
- Reviewing the existing project-specific database to ensure that material inputted is uniform.
- Supporting Associates with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
- Quality checks of information to ensure consistency.
- Providing support for other administration.
- Participation in team meetings when required (with possible contribution to the strategic development of the new database, depending upon ability).
- Drafting legal and technical documents, attending meetings, preparing minutes, preparing summary tables, technical research and reporting, liaising with clients and outside attorneys, filing and general administration.
Working a 9.15am to 5.15pm day the ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to learn quickly on the job and adapt to new situations as they occur
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent coordination abilities
- The ability to work well in a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Qualifications to at least bachelor degree level in law, science/chemistry/biochemistry or engineering
- Legal experience
- A high degree of knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook. PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Experience in the use of web based databases or complex electronic databases would be a distinct advantage.

MARKETING COORDINATOR 27 29k
Working for a well renowned London law firm this brand new role is reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager and working a 9 to 5 or 9.30 to 5.30 day.
The main area of work will be within the litigation and regulatory departments of the firm where you will assist in providing marketing services support, help implement business development, PR, pitching and target activity and assist with producing marketing collateral.
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of marketing/ communication processes and will be a marketing assistant already looking for the next step on the ladder. You will be from a professional services background ideally from within a law firm. With a professional approach and excellent organisational skills, you will excel with project management skills, work well in a pressured environment and be IT literate ideally but not essentially with the use if Interaction. MARKETING MANAGER (energy sector) 40 -50k
As part of an international marketing team for this Leading London law firm, this new vacancy for a Marketing Manager within the energy, oil & gas and utilities division is free immediately and offers a fantastic career structure to an experienced individual within this field

Based in the London office, the role will include:
* Campaigns: plan and execute marketing campaigns (including integrated thought leadership initiatives)
* PR: working to raise the profile of the Energy group
* Marketing Collateral: develop and maintain client facing marketing materials
* Client Communications: help create and execute a comms strategy (including social media)
* Events: working to develop and deliver clients events (seminars, webinars, networking dinners, conference sponsorships)
* Website: maintain up to date and relevant content on the Energy page (working with US)
* Legal Directories: manage the process for sector submissions (working with PR team)
* Legal Awards: help select and create winning entries for key industry awards

Business Development
* Pitching: lead on select sector pitches; provide credentials and sector insight for other pitches
* Targeting: develop briefing packs for client targeting (working with the central market research team)
* Client Service Assessment: support the firm's programme by advocating post matter and service reviews

Internal and Systems
* Internal Communications: managing the Energy intranet site.  Support the sector head in convening and communicating with sector leadership and wider community
* Queries: managing day-to-day queries from lawyers and the wider marketing team
* Internal Systems: maintain up to date client and group information on the CRM; Pitch; and Deal repositories
* Planning: create and maintain sector marketing plans
* Budget: administer and monitor the sector marketing budget
The ideal candidate must:
* Have a professional approach, which is demonstrated by a determination to get the job done, high levels of commitment and internal client care
* Possess a high level of written and oral communication skills
* Be able to demonstrate the necessary interpersonal skills to manage delivery through others, including lawyers of all levels, marketing colleagues and external suppliers
* Have well developed project management skills and the ability to manage conflicting timescales and priorities
* Have the ability to communicate with senior management and lawyers
* Be able to display a 'can do' approach, working on his/her own initiative, and as part of a wider team
* Be IT literate and experience using Interaction, Word 2003 and Outlook.

* Have knowledge of Marketing/BD Processes: a solid understanding and working knowledge of the skills required across the marketing/BD mix; with preference for experience in a professional services marketing environment
* An understanding of the Energy sector: current and future trends, key companies, the advisory landscape (eg legal, consultants, investors), with preference for previous experience in the sector
